Ben ShockleyBEN SHOCKLEY trained/worked at THE LEAS PAVILION REP THEATRE, Kent, and from 1986 until 1988 he was a member of the MAD MOLE THEATRE COMPANY, co-writing and performing comedy sketch shows, and touring all over the UK. His other theatre work includes Kurtz/Harlequin in HEART OF DARKNESS (King's Head), Jimmy Porter in LOOK BACK IN ANGER (man in the moon), understudying Phil (ANDY SERKIS), and Artie (MARK BENTON); and also appearing as Artie, in the Sir Peter Hall/Bill Kenwright production of HURLYBURLY (Queen's Theatre), which also featured DAVID TENNANT, RUPERT GRAVES, JENNY SEAGROVE and SUSANNAH DOYLE.

Ben then began his five year association with the LONG OVERDUE THEATRE COMPANY, in which he played Macduff in MACBETH and Bertozzo in ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST, both of which toured all over the UK and Ireland. Ben also works on and off with ROGUES' YARN, who have taken several shows to the SAN FRANCISCO FRINGE FESTIVAL including DEATH BLOW I and II. TV includes roles in STREETWISE, SPATZ, CRIME MONTHLY and THE BILL.

Ben has appeared in a number of feature films released on DVD in 2009, which are available at HMV, AMAZON or both. GREETINGS, DARK SECRETS, TEN DEAD MEN, and COUNTERFEIT BUTTERFLY. He has five feature films coming out in the early part of 2010 either on DVD or at the cinema. These are BLOODMYTH, THE FIRM, DARK RAGE, BAD DAY and THE SHOUTING MEN. Ben Shockley appears as himself on the EDDIE IZZARD 'SEXIE' dvd release, and in the BANNED X Box 360 advert 'Stand-off', which can be viewed on the internet. He also writes. His adaptation of Thomas Cullinan's THE BEGUILED (King's Head), was a sell out at the Hen and Chickens in 07, and also at the South London Theatre in May 08.
