Ken Colley - Director/ Ken

Ken ColleyBorn in Manchester in 1937, KEN COLLEY, has been an actor for over forty years.  He has played countless theatre roles.  He worked at BROMLEY WEEKLY REP, a theatre company founded by BILL HAYES, JILL GASCOIGNE and KEN LOACH and when LAURENCE OLIVIER became the first director of the NATIONAL THEATRE at THE OLD VIC, Ken was part of the company.

He has appeared as guest leads in TV shows such as THE AVENGERS, THE SWEENEY, TARGET, PENNIES FROM HEAVEN, RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND, the title role in I REMEMBER NELSON, RETURN TO WATERLOO, INSPECTOR MORSE, THE BILL, MIDSOMER MURDERS, NEW TRICKS, EASTENDERS, FOYLES WAR, and HOLBY BLUE.

His feature film work includes roles in THE JOKERS, PERFORMANCE with MICK JAGGER, THE DEVILS with OLIVER REED, JUGGERNAUT with RICHARD HARRIS and ANTHONY HOPKINS, THE LIFE OF BRIAN with MONTY PYTHON, FIREFOX with CLINT EASTWOOD, THE WHISTLE BLOWER with MICHAEL CAINE, as ADMIRAL PIETT in the original STAR WARS Trilogy and with MICHAEL CAINE once again in SHADOW RUN. Apart from writing, producing, directing and appearing in GREETINGS, Ken has also directed two short films A NEARLY SILENT FILM and ALLIGATOR, and has written several other feature scripts for which he is currently looking for finance for.  Ken also works with new directors.  He appeared in JAMES O'SHEA'S short film NICKED and ANDY COUGHLAN'S film HOUSE OF DONN with BEN SHOCKLEY.

 
Mel Stephenson - Kathy

Mel StephensonMEL STEPHENSON trained at GUILDFORD SCHOOL OF ACTING and then did a Post Graduate in screen acting at REDROOFS TV AND FILM SCHOOL.  Her theatre experience includes Madam Mina in SLEEPLESS (The Landmark), the title role in PERSEPHONE (Langdon Down Centre) and the title role again in LULLABY FOR PEARL (London Arts House). 

Mel has been in several short films such as THE LIBERATOR, MILESTONE, EX LIBRIS, MUSICAL CHAIRS and LIVE FEED I and II.  TV experience includes motion capture work for the character of Destiny Angel in GERRY ANDERSON'S CAPTAIN SCARLET.  Amongst other things she is a skilled Martial Artist, plays the piano (grade 7) and is an advanced skier.

 
Matthew Reynolds - Matt

Matthew ReynoldsMATTHEW REYNOLDS trained with the NATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE and at the UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM.  His theatre work includes Victor Frankenstein in FRANKENSTEIN (Shunt, London), Wilson in OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR (Bloomsbury Theatre, London), the title role of MACBETH (UK tour) for THE LONG OVERDUE THEATRE COMPANY, John McBurney in THE BEGUILED (King's Head), and Mowgli/Shere Khan in JUNGLE (BAC).  

Matthew's TV work includes appearances on T4, NEWSROUND, SKY NEWS and RICHARD AND JUDY.  His film work also includes roles in THE GAUNTLET (Astral Gypsy Productions), BAD DAY as Ian Curtis and starring CLAIRE GOOSE, DONNA AIR and SARAH HARDING, and the film BOXED.  Matthew is also co-founder of LABYRINTH THEATRE COMPANY.

 
Kirsty Cox - Kirsty

Kirsty CoxKIRSTY COX trained at STRATFORD UPON AVON and at the ROYAL SCOTTISH ACADAMY OF MUSIC AND DRAMA.  She graduated in 2000.  Since graduating, her theatre work has included Angus/Witch/Macduff's son in MACBETH (Long Overdue Theatre Company-UK tour), Edwina in THE BEGUILED (King's Head), Lady Macbeth in A BEGINNERS GUIDE TO SHAKESPEARE (Bristol Old Vic), Margaret in WOYZECK (Tobacco Factory Productions), Mary Reason in MARY, MARY (Theatre West), Kristine Linde in A DOLL'S HOUSE (SWAN), the servant in THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA (Alma Tavern), and Nancy in OLIVER TWIST (for Lanternfish Productions at the Tricycle Theatre, Salisbury Playhouse and UK tour). 

She has also worked with Raindog, MacRobert Productions, National Trust Theatre Projects and Impact.  She has been in several short films, which include roles in A RIGHT GOOD READ and SEA OF TROUBLE and as well as one of the lead parts in GREETINGS, she has also played roles in a number of other independent feature films such as THE WEDDING ENSEMBLE.  Kirsty also appeared as Annie Sutherland in DR FINLAY: FURTHER ADVENTURES OF A BLACK BAG (BBC R4), with JOHN GORDON SINCLAIR.

 
Ben Shockley - David

Ben ShockleyBEN SHOCKLEY trained/worked at THE LEAS PAVILION REP THEATRE, Kent, and from 1986 until 1988 he was a member of the MAD MOLE THEATRE COMPANY, co-writing and performing comedy sketch shows, and touring all over the UK. His other theatre work includes Kurtz/Harlequin in HEART OF DARKNESS (King's Head), Jimmy Porter in LOOK BACK IN ANGER (man in the moon), understudying Phil (ANDY SERKIS), and Artie (MARK BENTON); and also appearing as Artie, in the Sir Peter Hall/Bill Kenwright production of HURLYBURLY (Queen's Theatre), which also featured DAVID TENNANT, RUPERT GRAVES, JENNY SEAGROVE and SUSANNAH DOYLE.

Ben then began his five year association with the LONG OVERDUE THEATRE COMPANY, in which he played Macduff in MACBETH and Bertozzo in ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST, both of which toured all over the UK and Ireland. Ben also works on and off with ROGUES' YARN, who have taken several shows to the SAN FRANCISCO FRINGE FESTIVAL including DEATH BLOW I and II. TV includes roles in STREETWISE, SPATZ, CRIME MONTHLY and THE BILL.

Ben has appeared in a number of feature films released on DVD in 2009, which are available at HMV, AMAZON or both. GREETINGS, DARK SECRETS, TEN DEAD MEN, and COUNTERFEIT BUTTERFLY. He has five feature films coming out in the early part of 2010 either on DVD or at the cinema. These are BLOODMYTH, THE FIRM, DARK RAGE, BAD DAY and THE SHOUTING MEN. Ben Shockley appears as himself on the EDDIE IZZARD 'SEXIE' dvd release, and in the BANNED X Box 360 advert 'Stand-off', which can be viewed on the internet. He also writes. His adaptation of Thomas Cullinan's THE BEGUILED (King's Head), was a sell out at the Hen and Chickens in 07, and also at the South London Theatre in May 08.

 
Maria Long - Maria
Maria LongMARIA LONG is fairly new to acting.  In fact GREETINGS is her feature film acting debut.  Maria plays violin in the acoustic group NEROLI, as well as in other bands. She is also an artist, accomplished musician and film composer.  Amongst other things, she wrote the music for KEN COLLEY'S short film A NEARLY SILENT FILM, some of the music for JOHN RACKHAM'S feature film BLOODMYTH and you can hear some of NEROLI'S tracks at the beginning of GREETINGS.
 
Henry Dunn - Henry

Henry DunnHENRY DUNN trained at THE LONDON ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ARTS. His theatre credits include Cornelius in LORD JIM (two way mirror), Lodovico in THE WHITE DEVIL (Southwalk Playhouse), ORESTES (Greenwich Theatre), Wise Hammer in OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD (Lyric Hammersmith), The Hostage in the two hander ONE KNIGHT (man in the moon), KURTZ in HEART OF DARKNESS (comedy and Exit Theatre, San Francisco), and various roles in DEATH BLOW II (Exit Theatre, SF).

His recent theatre credits include Don Pedro in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Baron's Court Theatre), Vincentio in TAMING OF THE SHREW (Bridewell), Pontius Pilot in SON OF MAN (Canal Cafe), and George in DUCK VARIATIONS (Open Air Theatre Regents Park and the King's Head). Henry has played roles in a number of short films including THE LIBERATOR, DUMB LITTLE COUNTRY BOY, THE OBJECTIVE and THE GUESSING GAME, which he also adapted.

As well as a lead role in GREETINGS, he also played Buddy Cass in the feature film THE WEDDING ENSEMBLE, which is currently in post production. Recently he did an ITV advert for playstation and a corporate for the Metropolitan Film School at Ealing Film Studios. Henry is also a writer, and is working on several different projects.
